Course Information
The Sports Nutrition Course from the Swedish Academy of Sport Training (SAST) provides comprehensive knowledge of the scientific foundations of nutrition and its impact on athletic performance and overall health. The course covers essential nutrients, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals, as well as the importance of fluids and water in supporting physical performance. It is designed to equip participants with the skills needed to create effective nutrition plans for athletes and enthusiasts, improving physical performance and general health. The course is suitable for anyone looking to develop a solid understanding of sports nutrition, whether for professional advancement or personal health improvement, with no prior experience required.

Eligibility:
Anyone with the desire and ambition to enter the field of sports nutrition (no previous experience required).
What You Will Learn:
Upon completing this course, students will be able to understand and apply knowledge on:
- Anatomy and function of the digestive system
- Major and minor nutrients
- Nutrition strategies for specific energy systems
- Nutrition plans for certain sports
- Athlete responses to dietary changes
- Dietary supplements
- Water and hydration
- Common diets
- Nutrition-related diseases
- Role and scope of a nutrition coach
Course Duration:
The study includes 56 training hours, which must be completed within a maximum period of 30 days from the course start date. It is divided as follows:
First: Live lectures via Zoom
- 12 training hours, divided into 4 study days
- Each day includes 3 hours of theoretical training
Second: Online study
44 training hours of theoretical content, including the scientific curriculum, the course book, training videos, and recorded lectures available on the Academy’s website
This also includes completing chapter quizzes and the final theoretical exam on the Swedish Academy platform

Assessments and Passing Requirements:
Quizzes:
Students must complete mandatory quizzes before attempting the final exam:
- One quiz per chapter of the theoretical material
- Each quiz contains up to 10 multiple-choice questions
- Time is 1 minute per question
- The passing score is 80%
- Quizzes can be retaken an unlimited number of times
Final Exam:
- Students can take the final exam only after passing all mandatory quizzes
- A minimum score of 60% is required to pass the course
- The exam includes 50 multiple-choice questions, each with four options
- Duration: 50 minutes
- Students are allowed up to two attempts
- Additional attempts can be requested for $50 per attempt
Graduation Certificate:
Upon completing the course and passing all assessments, students receive an official certificate of completion, sent directly to their email and stored in their profile on the SAST platform. The certificate is officially accredited and recognized by:
- Swedish Academy of Sport Training (SAST)
- Global Council of Sport Science (GCSS)
- International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE)
- Register of Exercise Professionals Tunisia (REPS)
- The International Confederation of Registers of Exercise Professionals (ICREPs)
- The Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment (MFPE).
